I see that Bas and Brendan are both named in the NL squad for the upcoming ODI series against Zimbabwe and SA
They'll be back in time for the start of the CC

do we know how these everlasting cards work? Do they get updated for the new season automatically once the subscription is paid, or do we have to activate it in some way?

I think they update automatically.

I hope so, we'll be using them very soon. Very soon. Uni match next week, I think.... presumably at the riverside
Iwas wrong about our new dutch boys. There was a match before the two I mentioned. Glover bowled in the first ODI. took a wicket, but by a mile the most expensive of the dutch bowlers. When I say dutch to describe the bowlers, I use the word loosely, of course

Still no mention of Todd Murphy, so I reckon that's a non starter
perhaps he played hardball and turned down our usual accomodation offer of a tent erected next to the toilets and we got a bit concerned about how much an actual room was going to cost us.
Blooming primadonna.... we were going to leave the toilets unlocked all night for him to have a ssip and a wash, so it's not as if we weren't going to look after him properly

There's a member's forum on Monday at close of play, North, Campbell, Borthwickand McKinney in attendance, hosted by Ash Thorpe.
No doubt the Murphy situation will be clarified ,probably only after members ask. I haven't renewed so if anyone on here is attending I'd appreciate an update.
There could well have been a visa problem with Murphy as he's played very limited 1at class and international cricket.
As for accommodation, plenty of room in the old scoreboard, might as well put it to some use and there's a river nearby for ablutions - what more does a guy want?

According to Daily Mail chances of Todd Murphy signing have diminished.
Looks so given no mention of his signing by club

Tomorrow appears to be the day to go to the uni game, because the rest of the week is forecast to be a washout. Sunny, but cold tomorrow, so coats, hats and gloves look to be the order of the day
nothing says professional cricket in England quite as much as coats, hats and gloves, unless it's coats, hats, gloves, scarves and blankets
might need blankets.............. and perhaps 2 pairs of socks as well

I see that Bedders has decided to commit to SA and not wait the remaining 2 years to qualify for England
