Marcus North says that Parkinson and Ackermann will come straight into the side (red ball and white), along with Boland, of course

Parky and Boland are easy fits, but it's harder to see where Ackers slots in. Jonesy is the weakest link in the top 6, but is our only other regular opener, so Ackers in the top six looks complcated. 7 looks favourite, but what happens to BdL when he's not on Holland duty. And where does Carse fit in, when both he and Potts are made available by England? Ackers might have to move around the order depending on who is available and what the pitch conditions are looking like

I'm glad I don't have to decide, but I'd imagine that RC will be pleased to have all these options

Nice to have a little bit of strength in depth, especially after long enough with absolutely none!

Bedders has been in white ball action for Western Province this month. A ton and 2 fifties in his 5 matches

clearly he didn't feel the need to have a bit of time off after the end of the CC

I feel the need for a bit of time off after finishing my tea

Good news, wasn't expecting that after the acrimonious departure but a lot of water under the bridge since then.

Possibly envious at how things have panned out for Bunny. His domestic situation was common Knowledge but didn't see how it was necessary to leave the area. Would have slotted in nicely as player coach.

I see he has signed a contract extension at Warwickshire.
