And Worcestershire have taken just 16 batting points from 12 games so it would be extraordinary if they suddenly won the last 2 with maximum points. Not that it should matter - we'd probably get 5 points even if both games were heavy losses.

Middlesex getting off scot-free now, seemingly

But they do have to limit their spending on players so doubtless Stonemercenary will be getting ready to make a run for it

Imagine if he came back here?
Jeez.... we'd probably let him.... and offer him the one day captaincy or something to boot :horse

 Imagine that! I was listening to a bit of commentary on their current game and it was mentioned the top 5 are averaging 19 for the season and the alarm bells started ringing when the top 4 were all out for 0 in the first game.

Was watching and the commentators were very impressed.
Netherlands look capable of causing an upset, wouldn't surprise me if they do.

well, this is the amazing thing. He looked absolutely hopeless for us in the T20 dribble. His bowling got a right beating and he scratched around with the bat picking up the odd single here and there during the death overs. Not just him, of course... everyone not named Sowter or Raine got a pasting with the ball and everyone batting below Robinson (at 4) scratched around for odd singles in the last 2 or 3 overs, when other teams were adding 30 or 40 runs in that period against us.

I can only assume that his great improvement in the 4 day side gave him a lot of confidence when he turned out for NL in the qualifiers and now here, because his recent performances are unrecognisable from those in June

Yes. A few more impressive performances and he'll probably get an IPL gig!
