Sussex have spin twins on, so maybe there is no point in declaring. Doesn't look terribly dark near my house though

blimey.... we have declared and we don't even have a 400 lead, or waited until a player reached his ton first. The cynical part of me might be tempted to suggest that had the player on 82* not been a 2 match loanee, we might have stayed out there

might be over tonight if Sussex fancy a day at the seaside tomorrow before heading home

Without wanting to tempt fate surely only poor weather tomorrow will take this into the last day. We've been lucky to have the best of conditions when bowling and batting but have been good enough to take advantage of that. Think we might also have had some assistance from the umpires with those lbw' decisions!

no early wickets this morning
9-4 becomes 39-4
surely this is not going be yet another of 'those' 4th days?
It says much about my confidence, that I'm already questioning our abilities half an hour into the final day

becomes 51-4 one over later

Finally made a breakthrough- think their injured bowler means we only need another 4 wickets. It should be a formality but I share your lack of confidence!

As we suspected- never in doubt!
I know we've been up against poor opposition and had a fair bit of luck this week with conditions but still good to get a couple of wins.
Factor in Robinson's arrival and Franklin's departure we will finish the season in decent spirits regardless of what happens at Trent Bridge next week. I notice Notts are having a bit of a wobble.
I'm off to Arran for a week, hopefully the mobile signal will be good.

enjoy
cakewalk in the end.
yes..... things to feel positive about for next season

Thanks!
Yes, if North looks at the upturn in form and decides we don't need any further additions then it will be asking for trouble.
Robinson an excellent signing- looked at Kent twitter and their supporters are angry- lots saying they rate him hogher than Billings.
However, we need at least two or three further additions.
