Cook is a 70 year old with a heart condition. I'm not sure why he would want to return to work, tbh

we'll probably get a new CEO who then appoints North in both roles and doubles his salary

I was advocating an advisory role. He's completed the GNR since his heart scare. No chance in reality of it happening anyway.

Good start with the ball today but our batting looks incredibly flimsy in terms of specialists.

No glue in the middle order which is what the overseas is supposed to provide. Nice one, Marcus :dunno

I see we still can't get du Plooy out

If Derby get promoted, his average will miss us dreadfully

37 overs in, so the ball will be as flat as a fart. There's a fair chance that Capt Sensible will decide to turn his own arm soon. He might even do it before he lets Trev get a go

It's the usual story- hopelessly ineffective when the ball gets older.

I went down the allotment for a couple of hours with no expectation of us havng got du Plooy out by the time I got back. I was wrong. It's just a shame about the 80 runs he scored and the 140 run stand for his wicket before they got him

so far this season in the Durham -v- du Plooy match, he is 338-2 in 3 innings. In his other 16 innings this season he hasn't managed to accumulate another 400 runs

Typical. 306 ao, only question now is will we manage to get 300 across both innings! 4 specialist batsmen!

That may be enough against this batting line up. I'm eager to be proved wrong, but I can't remember a weaker Durham batting side than this on paper. Fingers crossed they'll rise to the challenge!

If we can get past 20 overs without being 5 or 6 down we might be okay. Trev and Mack have shown they can build an innings given half a chance and even Coughlin has managed a century this season.

It would be useful for Dicko to go straight back to where he was before the inury, but it's probably too much to hope for.

Delayed start- bad light and rain so when/if play gets underway chances are it'll be under leaden skies.
I'd also say it's as weak a batting lineup as I can remember.
