Yes, made a better fist of it than expected and sounds as if Marty was right about it being a difficult pitch but the handful of experienced batsmen need to do better. Still some promising signs in these defeats so if we strengthen for next season there are reasons for optimism. Someone who should be in the know told me that Robinson is definitely signing- presumably if that's the case he'll be here when Billings and Cox are back with Kent.

Well, at least they managed to bat out the overs this time!A slight problem when it's down to the bowlers to get there.

81/0 & DL par score is 39!
Coughlin dropped a regulation skier catch similar to Borthwick the other day - to be fair it has apparently happened more often around the country because the clear blue skies make the ball hard to see. When Killeen gave the explanation I thought it was a risible excuse but commentators on The 100 were talking about it too.

Aye, but we've got North and Franklin not Romulus and Remus.

Really good bowling performance- those youngsters did well, McAlindon looks particularly promising. Bold move by Borthwick to bring himself on towards the end and it did not pay-off- although there was a dropped catch.

we seem to drop a lot of catches
Rushy and Trev's figures seem particularly miserly, but then Sussex could afford to take their time while they waited for Borthwick to bowl and hand them the game. Borthwick nearly didn't fall into their trap, for once

Funny thing is he looked as if he was going to bowl on a few earlier occasions but changed his mind...until he finally could not resist!

we need lots of people to turn up at matches waving "Badger don't f...ing do it" placards every time he looks like he wants to take the ball

No Rushy today
injured or are we resting him ahead of the CC return?

Hopefully the latter although I think it's a while away. Might just be squad rotation.
275 - par score according to Martin Emmerson, trouble is with our line-up it is above par!
Those young bowlers have done pretty well after the Somerset near disaster, one positive from the competition.

Well if they're resting him no point in naming him in the squad and presumably making him travel with the squad.

I wasn't aware he was in the squad, tbh..... I lost interest ages ago
so...... we failed to bat out the overs.... that's surprising... almost never happens
