Treva has two 80's to his name this season. Does he solve the keeper at 6 conundrum? I've never been happy with Mr Ned at 6... it always feels a bit 'last chance' to me. If Trev is good enough to bat 6, then that still allows us to play to our (in a normal year) strengths and still have a spin option in the side not called Borthwick, whilst not feeling like we are one wicket away from the tail when we find ourselves 4 down...... which can be 12.30 on day one on a bad day

I think he probably could and will probably have to because he doesn't like developing into a prolific wicket taker. He looks like a proper batsman to me.

Very poor. Damage done now so the longer these last 2 wickets last the better! No chance of winning so we want as few overs to survive as possible.

maximum batting points for Middlesex........ from 7 down and the chances of a 3rd batting point looking a bit iffy

it would be funny if it wasn't so criminal

10 and jack flogging us to the boundaries atm

it's a familiar theme... get the new ball after 80 overs, take a couple of quick lower order wickets, then sit back and let a 100 or 150 runs go by before wrapping things up

deficit is 72 runs and there are still 10 overs or so to lose 3 or 4 wickets in
