Clare Connor has dropped out of the race for CEO of the ECB. I reckon North is looking over his shoulder and making sure he's the only one left in post, should a new Durham CEO take over from Bostock

Will be interesting to see who the replacement is - North strikes me as someone who will have plenty of contacts.

Aye but they're all Australians.

Don't know the availability, but would it be too much to hope for Di Venuto or Benks? Someone with a feel for the club at least. Whoever gets the job, they'd better have experience of running a six a side team to get used to our level of squad depth....

Benks is in the middle of a 3 year head coach role at Gloucs. Divo left his coaching role with Australia and is available afaia. He's be the dream appointment but whether he'd work under North?

Franklin has GONE

hurrah :joydance

letting him toss off early is one of Durham's very few sensible decisions of the last few years

still being reported that he guided Durham to the 2021 one day cup final, which is some feat, given that he was one of Daniel Vettori's assistants at the Warwickshire Silly for the entire competition, but I don't care anymore..... good riddance.... shut the door on your way out

email from club touting membership renewal and promising
"We are also installing a membership manager who will be available to answer all enquiries and take feedback and suggestions on board".
That, and Franklin's exit, appears to suggest that they're aware of the vast membership discontent

not sure I'd want to be Durham's membership manager. Imagine having to listen to people griping all day, every day, because we're a pile of shite

Jimmy the Weighell has been released by Glammy

doubtless that means we'll try and get him back by offering him the captaincy
