Yes,batting himself into Saffers touring side for Summer, further weakening Durham's wafer thin squad.

Can I take it that you haven't rushed to take advantage of the extended early bird promotion?

HNY, btw :salute

Circa 2007 I wrote to Geoff Cook in similar vein. About a month later I got a response, informing me that we'd signed Scott Styris, who at the time was one of the best ODI all-rounders in the world.
I'll let you know when Bostock tells me we've signed Axar Patel.

Hzppy new year!
It's certainly getting to the stage where time is running out to strengthen the squad - although I did renew the membership before Christmas!
I see Woody is putting his name forward for the IPL.

I thought the club would take out my subs automatically, but they haven't. I'm not bothered about saving a tenner or whatever it is, so I'll wait until I see the fixture list before deciding. Unlike WL, it's the scheduling, rather than the players, that is the main driver for me.... I like to see if I can get there enough to make it worthwhile

the fixtures should be out soon now that FTECB have let it be known that the delay has nothing whatsoever to do with Yorkshire's div 1 status, which is assured

not bad for Yorkshire, really.... Chance of a good clear out, get shot of a few undesirables, no relegation, no fines as far as I can tell and an easy route laid out for them to get all this year's international matches back. Once they get some replacement sponsors (which with international matches and div 1 status assured shouldn't be too hard) it'll be business as usual and who can argue with that? :facepalm

and as a real bonus that warm, cuddly Boof has, for some probably completely unrelated ( :? ) reason decided against staying on as Batterycharger supremo.... he'll be a miss!

But,but, but
From Julian Knight, chairman of the powerful DCMS, in today's Times

He also urged Yorkshire to look at their ownership structure, particularly in relation to the power of veto that the Colin Graves Trust, which is owed £20 million by the county, has over decisions by the club’s board of directors.

“One area we will be exploring is the ownership structure,” he said. “We know that the Colin Graves Trust, according to Roger Hutton, the former Yorkshire chairman, did not execute his recommendations to sack some of those who were involved in this scandal. That is very alarming, and I wonder whether they can have international matches back until it is clear that there is something in place to ensure there is no repetition of such a catastrophic decision.”

Shame, just when they thought they'd got away without sanction.

we'll have to wait and see. Instinct tells me that Yorks will get away with minimal impact

drop the people who have been playing some cricket, albeit not terribly well, and replace them with someone who has barely picked up a bat for 4 months

what could possibly go wrong?

Obviously been a leak, probably because Lees has been told to prepare for the tour. Wonder, though, who made that decision.
If Lees succeeds and, obviously, we hope he does and Bedingham is in SAffers touring party, Durham wont have a competitive squad.
Deliberate dumbing down for when we become a feeder for Northern SuperchargersCC based at Headingley?
Wouldn't trust North and Bostock as far as I could throw them.
