I see that the new cards when they arrive are to be retained and re-used year on year, rather than having to be re-issued each year. Not that long ago we were given books of tear off tickets. How times change

Not a lot to read actually other the actual proposal but since a 2/3rd majority is required you'd need 12 Turkeys voting for Christmas.

Just noticed SA are starting a test series against Bangladesh tomorrow. Just 2 tests but Petersen is playing by the looks of it - if that's the case he'll miss at least the first Championship game.

I remember looking at this a while ago. The club said that he was available for 7 matches, which I took to be the first block of 7 matches, but then they said he would link up with SA after the Worcs game, which I think is the June match, so still 7 matches, just not including the first one. Does that mean he is available for the 8 T20 matches between the last May game and the 12th June, I wonder?

Good question ! Just looking at his T20 stats and he has played 54 games. average is 26 and a SR of 100 so that format might not be ideal for him - although those bare stats aren't necessarily a good indicator because he could be a late bloomer where the overall record doesn't reflect his current form .

Can't see him playing in the 2nd v Leics commencing 14th April given that 2nd test doesn't finish until 12th April.

Didn't realise the dates were so close. Must be no chance he'll plsy in the secind game. It makes Clark at 3 in these warm-up games seem odd - I assumed Borthwick had decided to bat 4 to accommodate Petersen at 3. but if he's going to miss the first two games does that mean Clark is going to be our number 3 in the opening games?

Can't make the forum this evening but there's going to be an announcement of a - presumably overseas- signing for the Blast who is also going to be captain.

Website hinting at a signing to captain T20
Played for Rajasthanroyals
???
My money's on Varun Aaron

Could be Steve Smith and then we'd have completed the Sandgate trio.

Will be interesting to see who it is.
Guardian preview is predicting we'll finish 2nd in Division 2 and that Carse will be back" for the start of May."
