I don't think the BBC CCLive thread is that interested in this match. They report a wicket 15-20 mins after it's happened!

Steel joins on loan from Durham, get him in the team for Crane next week, lengthen the batting and can use Weatherley as the 2nd spinner if needed.

We knew something was up, but a loan move to Hants surprised me, I confess. He can't get into a flaky batting side like Durham and has had one good season in his career and that was a few years ago now. I never quite understood why he went off the boil the way he did.

Maybe a loan spell at Hants is exactly what he needs....... as long as they don't do what Durham did and sign someone on a short term loan and then leave him out every match

Pre-season 2019 he got concussed, struck on the head in a practise game v Yorkshire. Not surprisingly he lost confidence but had a good winter in Grade A. Dickson is totally devoid of confidence at the moment meaning we have no experienced reserve batsmen.

Not to be.

very nearly 3 from 3... keep it up like this and you'll nearly be as good as Durham

what on earth has gone wrong? 2 matches ago your batsmen batters (I have to start getting used to calling them this) never looked as though they were going to get out. Now they don't look as though they can reach double figures

That was a gripping end to the day's play!
Hopefully Hants can now recover their cc season after two dismal performances.

That innings from Keith Barker was the sort of thing he used to reserve until he came up against Durham!
