Not for Somerset being wasted by Middx. Good that TRJ is back and has a couple.

Hard to see how Yorks can do anything other than lose from here. I suppose if Glamorgan fold for under 100 there might be some interest in the fourth innings.

Pitch looked absolutely flat at Northampton.

Only a jot over 40 overs were bowled today – 20 to finish off Lancashire’s innings at 407 and another 21 to get Sussex to 38-0.

Nobody blew the field away today but young Irishman Jack Carson looked a decent prospect on his way to a couple of wickets. One of a crop of youngsters who was given a shot last year due to no overseas options and looks to be seizing it by the scruff of the neck.

Carson presumably having a British passport then otherwise he'd be classified as overseas.
