107-4 in reply. Lose a couple in the morning and we might concede a lead for Northants

without that irritating, but fully expected and typical 7th wicket partnership we could have been only a few runs away from a lead by now

I think he was. I'm sure he needed fewer than 10 runs- just as well. I also have a feeling Borthwick has had issues with run outs.
Watched the last few overs - looked tricky with a bit in the pitch and gloomy conditions so Borthwick has redeemed himself to a degree and I thought Clark looked good. Into the all-rounders next so anything could happen in the morning! On the one hand the batting has great depth but on the other these two are the last specialist batsmen. Could be interesting
Other thing with Bedingham is after the race to 1000 runs between him and Libby, they were both overtaken last week by Tom Haines who made big scores in both innings and followed it up with 71 today so he will he well in front as leading run scorer. Libby out for 3.

Yes, Bedds on 992 at start. He was backing up but on the back foot but Badger appeared either not to call or late to call. Daft contemplating sharp singles in any case after you've lost 2 early wickets. Credit to Clark for grafting,cowboys Raine and Coggers wouldn't have survived the conditions. I'd back Trev and Potts before those 2. Building up to an interesting game.

well the two cowboys, Butch Coughlin and the Rainedance kid, negotiate a tricky patch and get us a small lead by lunch, both still with their wickets intact and 3 more yet to come in. We could use one of those very irritating 7th wicket stands that we predictably concede all the time. Must be our turn to get one soon
