There's also Carse, who's ,incidentally, been retweeting with likes 2nds victory and Trevaskis and Jones new contracts-hardly the actions of someone who's leaving.

Sounds promising. I wonder when the squad will be named - they have a habit of leaving it late.

obviously Notts will snaffle him up, but this is the sort of overseas player we should be looking at for the first 3 months of the season

Prospects aren't great with both Raine and Drissell around :hide
Campbell is an interesting prospect; Drissell about as underwhelming and productive as Thomson was last season.

:lmao
Yes, he seems to be an odd signing - inexpensive but we will see if he is useful or useless.

Carse out of the Lions tour and BBL - knee injury. Very unfortunate timing.

I didn't actually know he was going to play in the BBL - looks as if the deal was only announced yesterday!

Staggering really.... what are the chances? this sort of thing almost never happens when a Durham player gets called up by England. :?

Yes, totally unexpected! :lmao
Sounds like a particularly nasty injury as well. I was expecting him to feature in the Ashes too - was thinking it'd probably have been in the third test after England lost the first 2.

Yes, but the good news is Nigel will no longer be involved in his rehab. Mind the England physios appear to come from the same school.
Seriously though well-funded research should be set up to prevent these ever -recurring fast bowling injuries. It may be Truemanism but it's also a truism -"it never happened in my day".

Definitely. Something must be going wrong to have all of these injuries, seems as if almost every genuinely quick bowler gets a serious injury.
