That'll be why Jake Ball keeps getting injured

Shine hasn't taken on TRJ in a private consultancy capacity as well, has he?

Although in fairness to Kevin Shine, his advice to Luke Fletcher about never twisting away from a ball coming straight at his face like a tracer bullet, in case he suffers a stress fracture of the spine, has paid dividends for him this season

Dream team for the Ashes.
Shine as bowling coach and Wor Nige as physio-that's for the Aussies,of course.

5-0 to England a nailed on certainty!

I'm intending to attend RL50 at Hove on 25th July and assuming full capacity will be allowed then.

Bit jealous there Westo, not been back home since 2019 with all these covid nonsense. Would love a day sipping some ale and watching a live game at Hove.

Bangers revealing about Sandgate. Didn't realise it was Bangers debut. Fancy Smith and Warner putting a debutant in that situation-slipped even lowwer in my opinion which I didn't think was possible.

And he implicates the bowlers, always seemed highly unlikely they weren't aware of what was going on but to say it on the record might open up a can of worms.

Nah, he played all the 17/18 Ashes at least. And it was the 3rd or 4th test sandpaper gate happened in, so by guessing he'd have at least been on his 8-9th cap by then. Not that it invalidates the point, two senior players going to a guy who is fighting for his career and keen to maybe win over anyone with any influence on his future selection, is pretty disgusting. How many people thinking their test career might end for saying no, would say no? I think out of the three who got in trouble, I find his actions the most forgivable and understandable.

My guess is they were doing it a while and all the seamers at least were involved. Probably had the guy closest to the selectors axe doing the job.

I remember there had been a marked difference in swing (presumably reverse) between the 2 sides in that series. England didn't make a fuss about it at the time, but Australia were surely doing it all series at the very least

There's a surreal poem by Cameron Steel in the Yearbook!
" Ned gathered us in for a serious chat
Questioning why anyone would have eaten a bat "
That's just a random couplet from a full page poem.

I see that Derbys have signed Thomson on a loan deal. I wonder if they'll bother playing him?

Maybe he's a specialist 12th man!

he'll probably win 2 matches single handedly and end up consigning us to Div 3
