So Yorkshire get Bairstow back, Kent get Billings back, Somerset get Banton back (etc, etc), but we don't get Vince or Dawson?

Yep, seems fair to me.

Bracey, Leach, Lawrence, and Foakes are already part of the squad (in addition to Crawley, Curran and Wood). So no reason to introduce outsiders into the bubble.

And in any event, many others would be ahead of Vince and Dawson in the pecking order. They weren't even part of the 25 man for the intra-squad match.

welcome to Durham's world

Durham players always need rest if they aren't playing for England. It has ever been thus

you'll get used to it

Some of us dont forget the conclusion to the 2015 season, when Notts were forced to rest Taylor and Hales (who had innings of 297 and 170 respectively in our game against them) against Hampshire, while Sussex went to play in Leeds vs the whole of the England team, recently made available after being forced to rest for the Hampshire game a few days before.

That was also tremendously fair.

Not a great return for Bairstow however. Five batting at three.

Can't find any info on why Ballance isn't playing.

Even a recent article headlined 'What Happened to Gary Ballance?' doesn't say.

Northants have taken 5!!!! You would have thought ideal batting conditions. Very warm but not too muggy. Much more pleasant than yesterday.

Hants look they are woking towards a Martin Amis characters XI. Felix Organ, Sam Northeast and Harry Came is a strong start. They should sign NZ's Geoerge Worker.

Yes, Hants, with their unusual selection policy must have their eye on him.
