I shouldn't have said that, because this over has been rubbish

day over

Yorks 260-12 after 90 overs

Earlier Ben Raine had figures of 3-8 off 9 overs. Went for a few more later, but that was against batsmen batting for the second time

They gave Alex Lees a few overs, which was a surprise... unless they are just having a look at other possibilities. He bowled a fair few full tosses. Perhaps they are looking for ways to get Poynter into the side at the expense of Trevaskis :scared

don't take any notice of the scorecard, btw

Harte looked tidy in his second spell

Salisbury still went for a few fours, although a few of them were off the edge down to 3rd man when we only had 2 slips in

I don't think so

seems to me that Yorks aren't daft. They've had 2 innings with the bat having played Lancs at the weekend and we'll go into the first match having not batted at all in anything..... what could possibly go wrong?

Amazingly it appears they have shown flexibility and have added a day 3! Probably merits some sort of punishment from the ECB!
Probably be about 30 wickets tomorrow!

Looking forward to my man Leesy pile on the runs tomorrow :D

If he's out first ball you will be to blame for jinxing him. :lmao

Lees looked leaner and fitter in the field. Maybe a sign of greater intent, potentially a really good player imo. Potts has really filled out and the fact he opened the bowling suggests he's going to be a first choice.
Many Yorkie batsmen got themselves out with some dreadful shots.

lets hope they do that at the weekend too

Malan showed what he can do if he gets a second chance, so we'd better not drop him before he gets going

I thought it was too good to be true! Still a much better start than usual.

not sure Yorks did the decent thing there. 30 overs of absolute filth from the spinners Schutt and Poysden. I watched the boundaries and they nearly all came off full tosses. Horror show..... deliberate?

we don't seem to have lost many wickets in that 268. Lees came back out for another go, but our batsmen seemed to leave the field in pairs if the commentary on the scorecard is to be believed

latest update. Durham are trying their best it's the government that needs to get their fingers out -there were more walking in the park and promenade in S.Shields this afternoon than attend a CC game at the Riverside.

I did wonder why we had 4 home ties, but I hadn't considered the Leicester factor, the improvement of which has now led to the fixture being switched to Grace Rd.

I hope we do get the chance to go to the Lancs game. It would be typical if we only got the go ahead to attend after 2 of the 3 home ties had already been played

It's typical of the governments snail pace movement towards some sort of normality. Although I do think ,once the two trial games in round 1 go without a hitch, the doors will be open for the second round. The wording of this article suggests they will be.

But this byline in the Times contradicts that

No fans in stadiums before October 1, says sports minister Nigel Huddleston

Time for Lord Botham to have a word with him.
