Yes, clearly the coaching staff see something that supporters don't and they see more of him than we do. Given that he's the reserve w/k I suppose there's some logic if he keeps some of the time in a warm up game.

Martin Emmerson says if the season had started on schedule we wouldn't have lost a day to rain until June. Although he also said the unusually dry weather could have had something to do with heavy industry shutting down almost overnight.

Tea at Headingley and the Yorkies are rocking on 139-9. Only Lyth has scored any runs, but then he always liked our bowling for some reason. Yorks have a 16 man team, so perhaps they have no intention of letting us have a bat?

although Malan is on the scorecard as being 15 not out, and he is also shown as being the 3rd wicket to fall, so perhaps they are just going to keep coming back out to bat until they've scored enough to win.... which, given that we clearly aren't being allowed to bat, shouldn't take very long

Maybe yorkshire have interpreted the 120 over rule to mean that they, and only they, can just keep sending the same batsmen back out for 120 overs, score a first innings total of 567-23 and then have 8 sessions to bowl out the opposition twice

which, given that the Grave man has nothing whatsoever to do with Yorkshire (and never has), is probably an accurate assessment of how the new rule is supposed to work
