Hopefully this platform might make it a bit easier for the middle order - although it didn't in the second innings v Yorkshire. Bedingham's good reputation in SA seems justified so I hope he extends his contract. I thought the signing of Lees was a shrewd move and for once I was right!
A real baptism of fire for Dickson but I'm not going to judge him on a mini season. The same probably should apply to the rest but some of them have been struggling for a while now. Eckersley has had an awful start but we know he will come good - not so sure about the rest!
