Might have to play Poynter as a specialist batsman.

Or as a leprechaun mascot :D

If these two new signings are at least decent I think we could do well. If we get decent first innings totals in the CC we should be confident of winning. Famous last words!

Agree.
2 promotion places out of 8.
After our 1st 4 games we showed promotion form for the remainder of the season. Providing our 3 new signings adapt and they're all of proven ability, promotion should be a realistic aim.
Already booked for 1st game at Hove.

Not too long to go before it's underway!
Interesting cricinfo article on the Kolpak changes - suggests 2 overseas players may be allowed from next year but also mentions that some of the lower profile signings have a clause in their contract that guarantees they will be employed as an overseas player.

Yes with the best players centrally contracted something is required to maintain standards. Not so sure 2 overseas players is the answer given it's difficult to attract even one outstanding player in that category. Reclassifying average Kolpak isn't the answer.

I imagine it will be solely to protect counties from having to pay off player contracts for no benefit.

Matt Roseberry has died. I think he was only about 75.

That's sad.A nice man. Some time since I have seen him but he always looked the picture of health. Always a generous donor at our sportsmen dinners.

Graves in line for chairman of ICC. Getting slaughtered in the comments section even by Yorkshire supporters.

That's an astonishing story! Hard to think of a less suitable candidate...so he must be guaranteed to get the job!
