It's another sign of improved marketing by the new regime. Previous fixtures v Sri Lanka were far from sell outs. I got a couple of complimentary late on from the manager of my local-the brewery rep said he had difficulty even getting take up of freebies. It was early days in what became the trapdoor stand. I wasn't in the least shocked that it became full of surprises.

Then it's been an excellent effort from marketing. Tickets didn't even end up going on general sale by the looks of it.

I suppose it will the first opportunity to see an England cricket match for a long time. Presumably this means that people have missed it.... which is encouraging
