Yeh,club have simply responded to requests for handbooks mainly and will post cards out when permitted.Have to say, communication is far better since Bostock took over. Club does now appear to have direction after drifting since the sanctions.

Yes. They do seem to have improved in that respect.

I reckon they were being bombarded by requests from the fannyfarts, who worried they might run out of year books before their copy got posted out, or that they would receive one with a barely discernible wrinkle on the edge of the cover if they weren't there to inspect them with a magnifying glass first

Howway live and let live, DF. The deckchair casuals have got to have something to grumble about when there's no cricket. And no, I'm not a deckchair casual myself, heaven forbid.

There's a story in the paper suggesting county clubs could temporarily reclassify as pubs with outside spaces, that way they could admit people into the grounds who would technically be pub customers. Story is by legsidelizzy.

Yes, Sticky wicket is going to do a roaring trade. It's got a massive beer garden and ideally suited to attract visitors out for a stroll in the Riverside Park.Needs to be open all hours, not just on match days.
Given decent weather T20 could be very lucrative.

I agree. Good timing with the test matched starting shortly after the pubs open!

Got the card and yearbook and ran into southwood while I was there. The cards were all in addressed envelopes. And by the looks of things not many have been collected- all filed alphabetically in what looked to be full boxes.

1st class average of 35 but there's a bit of a difference between Canterbury and Riverside pitches. He's a SAffer with a UK passport.

Interesting signing! Let's hope he has some success although North describing his record as exceptional seems a bit excessive!
And Weighell and Whitehead not having their contracts extended. I wonder if that was always on the cards.

Jimmy the Weighell

I always liked him, tbh, but I suppose injuries held him back.

Ben Whitehead I don't think i ever saw play

Seam Dickson, eh? I don't think I realised that he was South African. They all seem to be, these days
