it does indeed, Capt

that actually seems like a pretty good part of the deal, as long as the ECB don't go back to scheduling CC matches for Mon to Wed.

I like how it mentions 2019 or 2020 members being exempt from the family passes and how it will be strictly checked! Does it really matter?
Other than that it seems a good idea.

Don't see how they can effectively check it. Hopefully it won't be abused.

Maybe they'll ask guests for their details for test and trace purposes?

Test and trace will be obsolete when entry is open to all.

It wouldn't surprise me is some measures are still in place. It would probably be practical to track and trace when the numbers attending are relatively small but perhaps not when the crowds are large - ironically the risks there will be higher.
I still go back to the medical advisors saying months ago that the risk of outdoor transmission was low. It has to be lower still now so the excessive caution in cancelling the spectator trial matches seems to make no sense.

All I can think is that it's a blanket decision by govt to play all professional sport behind closed doors. At least there is no confusion or grey areas with that. Perhaps they should have taken this approach when Champions League football went to Anfield or thousands of punters crammed themselves into Cheltenham races

Yes. I think that must be the reason. A clear message easier to understand than a more nuanced approach.

I hope the club have decided that they've seen enough of David Bedingham to offer him a contract extension. He looks a little vulnerable outside off stump, never quite looks in control in that area, but he's one of only two batsmen to show that they know which end of the bat to hold, and he can work on his technique outside off. We don't want to be missing out and having to let him go somewhere else (Notts/Lancs/Surrey.... you know who you are). He has a positive mindset too, which is a good foil for more watchful batsmen like Lees and Harte.

I've also decided to become a Durham Defender, so I'll ring the box office tomorrow and let them know.

I'm doing the same. I don't know how all the counties are responding to this virus ruined season but think the Durham offer is a fair one.

Don't think you'll get any joy ringing the box office, I think they're still on furlough. You should have received details of procedure by post or can complete online.

Yes. I got the letter/form the other day. I know someone who had no joy trying to contact the box office regarding the T20 International cancellation.

I rang reception and they put me through to box office. There was someone working there, despite what the box office 7p a minute message says

it's all done anyway. Membership cards are still there for anyone to collect, but they don't have the staff to post cards out.... although i'm not sure how people that requires, tbh...... probably just the person in box office and the person on reception when they aren't answering the phone :panic
