If Professor Whitty is involved we will probably be back in 2022!

Or Sir Patrick, who famously said that we'd do well to keep spectators at cricket matches below 20,000

:lmao
And the other one whose dire predictions supposedly steered them towards lockdown. Apparently he predicted a possible 150m deaths from bird flu...and 10 years later the total was under 300!

I see they actually have cancelled the trial games. Well, the games are on but behind closed doors. Hopeless.

Weighell joining Leicestershire on loan for the rest of the season. Probably with a view to signing him for next year?
I'd have stuck with him, definitely has ability but the injuries held him back.

No wonder it's Leics-he blew them away a few year back.
Writing was on the wall for him once Coughlin was signed. Just compared their stats - very similar. Think I'd have preferred Weighell

Durham have unveiled their 2020 membership plan

they'd like us to donate our membership fees to the club and become a 'Durham Defender' with a few sweeteners thrown in.

full details will be posted out over the next couple of weeks

donate your subs and get

entry to any matches this season that spectators are allowed to attend
2 free passes to all CC and 50 over matches for family members in 2021
Free pie and pea supper with Lord Sir Beefy of Bourguignon
Your name added to a specially commissioned mural
price freeze for 2021 membership (although there is also mention of a 20% discount, so I'm not sure how that works)

TBH, my first instinct is that I'll probably oblige them and hope that they use the money to bring in some decent players

Perhaps it means a price freeze plus a 20% reduction?
I like how it mentions 2019 or 2020 members being exempt from the family passes and how it will be strictly checked! Does it really matter?
Other than that it seems a good idea.

Ah - the passes are for all 4 day and 50 over games. I initially read it as being for 2! Makes perfect sense now why they'd exclude 2019 and 2020 members.

I'll stick with saying both have a very consistent record of injuries.
