Really bad time for Sussex to hit a poor patch.

Ollie Robinson is in fine form. Unsure of his contract situation but they might struggle to keep hold of him if it is at all tenuous.

I assume his contract has time to run because I've heard nothing about approaches from other counties. I'm sure Lancs, Notts and Sorry will be queuing up to pinch him at the earliest opportunity

Contracts mean nothing if the big money poachers come hunting. Test match counties, hundred venues, have now got money to burn. Expect Sorry to have a clear out and spending spree.
Badger to Durham anyone? I think Bunny will be back-mate of North!

I'd have them both back! Onions beef was with the previous regime so anything is possible.

Five for Stevens. Must be one of the greatest all round performances of all time.

did it with 4 overs to spare

even when they score almost 500 in the first dig, Notts can't find a way to win

After the way this English has gone, it's only fitting that it ends with the title being decided by one wicket or one run.

Even if the weather is quite poor, it's not as if the match will need all four days. If Somerset prepare the pitch which we all expect them to (not just in order to try and win, but also to rule out any chance of Essex accruing enough extra bonus points that the final result becomes irrelevant), the match might not even need two days worth of playing time to reach a conclusion.

Someone will be ending this season by winning the double.

Somerset aren't going to prepare a "turnton" with Harmer in the opposition ranks. Unfortunately, the weather suggests a draw.
