Each 1st class county is drawn against a minor county in a one-off game, preliminary to RL Cup.
Lincolnshire v Durham
Northumberland v Yorkshire amongst others.

Looks as if the uncontested toss rule is going to be axed.

No coincidence that a semblance of common sence from ECB comes from a committee chaired by the returning Andrew Strauss.

Presumably yes if it's adopted, it's only a recommendation at present.

What do you guys make of this?

It's as it is. He's part of a close family unit, recently married to a local girl. Had a nightmare 2 years injury wise at Notts. Had a pretty pure fitness record at Durham previously which is the worry. When fit he's an excellent 3 dimensional cricketer.

That's an extraordinarily candid interview, sounds as if he is going through an existential crisis!

Indeed- makes me feel a little guilty about the cynical attitude I had towards his fitness record. Let's hope he can manage a lengthy injury free period when we can judge his true potential. He's now 27 year old and should be at his peak.
