Woody available early season

With season commencing in 15 days still no information on club captain nor pre-season tour. It appears that Durham media releases are still controlled by the N. Korean Press Agency :sleep

I would offer to let them use my hat, but they can probably afford to buy their own for the first time in a few years

Maybe they're going to unveil the great leader captain at the meet the players event on April Fool's Day.

Just noticed D'Arcy Short is playing in Western Australia's current game. Made 49 from 52 balls batting at 7. He's only played a handful (11) FC games with an average of 22.6.
Before I realised that I wondered if he could have been an option to replace Bancroft if he were to be called into the Ashes squad, think he meets the eligibility criteria for FC cricket over here but it does not appear to be his forte.

I've never even heard of Chapman! Doubling up as spin and batting coach so he just have multiple skills.

Chapman being involved in the IPL must mean he has decent reputation.
Why are they keeping the squad announcement for pre-season tour secret until " departure day" tomorrow?
