Amazingly it was only the 9th time he's had a five-wicket haul and the first in two years. It's also a career best.

century for Lyth

if there was any doubt about Yorks survival, he'll have put them away for another year

Kent are definitely promoted- barring any pts deductions.

Well done to them. So is it all effectively decided now ? Kent and Warwickshire up with Worcestershire and Lancashire down?

If Lancashire were to secure a 23-24pt win against Hampshire, then Notts can go down if they lose against Somerset and secure 3-4pts or less.

Fortunately for Notts their final game is at Trent Bridge, would have been interesting had their final game got played at Taunton!

Thanks. Sounds as if Notts will be ok but I remember years ago when they had a shocker in the last game and ended up going down instead of Durham. Can't remember the scenario but it was almost impossible for them to slip up yet they managed it!

Yeh we were staring down the barrel against the Yorkies then massive 7 wkt partnership between Benks and Ottis got us a draw and enough bonus points to stay up by 1/2 pt.

that was the year after they won the CC, I think.

Darren Lehman piled up a massive score... did he get a triple century?

Presume Yorks will declare if they get out in the middle. Looks like a draw though.

Think so. Might even have been a record breaking innings.
Have a feeling it was also his last innings for Yorkshire but could well be wrong.

A one off thankfully! ;)
Looked it up - it was his last innings for Yorkshire and the highest individual FC innings at Headingley - 339! Previous record holder was Bradman (334) v England in 1930. Also the second highest for Yorkshire - George Hirst made 341 v Leics in 1905.
