Aiden Markram involved in a world record 6th wicket list a partnership today. 31/5 was the score when the 6th wicket pair came together...and they put on 272!

If Lancashire are charging a tenner for general admission like last year, I might even go up myself. Ironically I'm closer to Sedbergh School than Scarborough (where Yorkshire will be playing at North Marine Road at the same time as this game)

That would be great but I thought £15 was a minimal charge set by ECB for all counties.

A selection of quotes from Rayner's book and one really caught my eye.
Having my contract run into the final year raised alarm bells... I did a little more digging (and discovered) the club was looking for a buyer.”

I think so but am not certain. If it turns out Rocky is providing the accurate picture of his he came to leave then all of the blame will go back on the club!

when the club really needed help he scarpered.... I bought 3 T20 season tickets that I didn't really want because I wanted to do something to help

people from across the country bought season tickets in solidarity with the club..... he chose to do one

It'll be interesting to read the full quotes in Rayner's book but I took his ( Rocky's ) comments about "looking for a buyer" to refer to a buyer for him and that's why they let the contract go into the final year. It seems extraordinary so surely must be more to it - or I've misinterpreted the quote!

I hadn't considered that, tbh. Cricketers don't get bought and sold in their own domestic league, do they? Clubs make approaches for out-of-contract players by giving 28 days' notice of their intention to speak to them, surely?

As far as I am aware they don't buy and sell players..... no matter how much Yorkshire would like to

I took his meaning to be that he discovered that the club were in such financial difficulty that they needed someone to come in and buy them out of trouble, so he scarpered before there was any chance of it affecting his wages..... I'll bet you that he was the one who gave Diva a ring, and not the other way around

but then I do have an axe to grind, so it's probably best not to listen to me
