Moved back up a place today without bowling a ball.

Barring a shock turn around, I'd suggest that Somerset have secured a top three finish and Kent are out. Essex are in a strong position meanwhile. But of the other six of us, 3rd place is absolutely up for grabs. We're all beating each other - and our turn to join that on Sunday, hopefully. Real chance for us and Gloucs to jump right back up the table again. There's also another mid-table face-off, between Surrey and Sussex.

Great knock so far by Rossouw, I might need to revise my comment from a few days ago!

Cracking knock from Rilee. And solid from the bowlers.

If we beat Sussex in our final game on Wednesday, we will only need to win one of the two games beforehand to qualify. And so long as the weather doesn't play too big a part tomorrow, you would like to think that win will come tomorrow. But to have any chance of winning the group, and thus avoiding a play-off match, we would need to win all three.

Lose to Sussex though, and we'll probably go home even with wins vs Glamorgan and Surrey.

Had enough of this partnership, Dawson and Crane been getting a bit of hammer in recent overs.

Now another causing us grief.

If Ingram stays in another 6 overs we'll lose.

Gut-wrenching to take, but easily the best one-day chase I have seen live.

No question where the game was won and lost though. We scored 32 in our final four overs, which included TWO no-balls and thus free-hits; so actually it more like 28 runs scored in 4.2 overs. One single solitary boundary scored in those four overs, and we only finished 6 down. It's not like we had numbers 10 and 11 out there, just trying to see us through to the 50 overs.

They scored 61 in their four overs, with a ball to spare. So 29 extra runs, in three fewer balls.

We lost to Essex because we had no-one who could match what Zaidi did at the death. We lost to Glamorgan because we had no-one who could match what Cooke did at the death. And what makes it worse, is that McManus isn't even a good white-ball keeper. So many extras conceded and stumpings missed (even today, despite taking three, he still missed one). At least Bates could do that side of things. Not replacing Wheater is really going to cost us in white-ball cricket.

You can blame the last four overs of our innings but Glamorgan were nowhere after 30 overs of their innings and our bowling attack allowed them to get over 200 runs off the last 20. Not acceptable.

You keep digging at McManus, but he did as well as anyone else could have done with the bat today. Highest strike rate of the innings to boot.

And he's capable of hitting sixes as he showed at the end of the last game, albeit the pressure was off.

Still young and learning, give him a chance. Wheater was no world beater.

And he's one of our own!
