To be fair, both sides have complained about the umpires throughout the game. Although this does appear to be the first time they are favouring the batting side, rather than the bowling side.

Yep, from watching some of the wicket replays on Twitter alot of batsmen from both sides have looked disappointed with the umpiring decisions, especially with supposed nicks.

Maybe the umpires have got wind and have subconsciously erred on the side of the batsman from now on.

It's almost like Billy Taylor is trying to prove he isn't Hampshire biased by giving nothing

Well we managed to take seven wickets today. So if we repeat that tomorrow, we bowl them out. Only problem is that we won't be left with any time to chase down the score set.

The one thing that really plays into our hands though is the timing of the new ball. 13 overs before lunch. If Abbott and Berg bowl well with it, it is perfectly possible that they could bowl the first 20 overs unchanged between them, either side of lunch. That could be massive, particularly if we remove Balance during the 19 overs before the new ball.

Window opened ajar - largely because of Hanscomb losing his head with the new ball on the horizon.

Vince drops Bresnan immediately after lunch. Hurts his finger in the process.

Not sure yet. But he's had to take himself out of the slips, and put Dawson in his place.

Hmm, McManus falls early to Willey. Bad start for us today, and now Abbott and Berg need to again contribute if we're to make 400.

Although that said, it sounds like both Vince and McManus don't believe they hit it.

Same thing can be said about Ballance.
