Didn't enter because he wanted to fight for test place but mysteriously absent from Notts line up.

I think he was given the option to play or rest and opted for the latter.

Not sure there is much case material to exhibit how the ball is affected by snow, but certainly evidence would show its decent for bowlers.

Well He's bowling at present in the seconds so he must be fit.
