Two thrashings so far for CA XI.

Highlights in the 4 games played so far - 100 for Dunk as Tassie romped to victory over Queensland. Big opening partnership of 216 by Bancroft & Marsh for WA only to be topped by a double ton from Travis Head as SA won by 6 wickets. Starc filled his boots in NSW's game against the CA XI with 6-25, Steve Smith unbeaten on 143 in the same match. James Pattinson got 4-18 for Victoria also against CA.

Two first ball ducks and a 53 ball 26 for Joe Burns so far. Not doing his Test opening prospects any good. Hopefully, Bancroft will open with Warner at the Gabba. Hope Shaun Marsh doesn't score too many more runs in this tournament. Him opening in Tests against Boult and Southee would be catastrophic.

I see Gurinder Sandhu is doing a nice job at the other end with 8 from 4 @ 10. I'm warming up to Sandhu. He's been a good player for NSW, who could field two teams. I reckon he's going to have a big summer.

This is NSW's competition to lose.

Home ground(s) advantage doesn't hurt, but they have put all and sundry to the sword so far.

Vic beat Tassie today. Marcus Stoinis hit a century. Tassie now need CAXI to roll the Sozzies to qualify for the knock-out final... against the mighty Bushrangers.

South Australia will play New South Wales in the final, after beating Victoria, for the second time in the tournament. I've seen the highlights and the pitch was a disaster. Fair play to South Australia, who are playing good cricket under coach Jamie Siddons. If the Oz players are available for NSW, they'll romp it in. Without them, it will be a good game.

NSW are so strong that they can't find a place for Sandhu.
