been watching the football so didn't see the lead up to the game being abandoned but the pitch didn't look that bad when Glamorgan were batting

It was pretty poor when they batted, but not dangerous

what a terrible round of scores today. weather affected perhaps, but dreadful low scoring. I thought this was supposed to be a showcase of all that is good about the game of cricket, hence its prime time slot in the calendar........... seems more like a dirge than a festival. I don't think I've seen that many maidens accumulated by the bowlers outside the CC.

Who wants to see batsmen scratching around for a single here, and a single there. That won't pull the crowds in
