Milton Keynes is a very pleasant venue. The ground is in Campbell Park. At the southern end grass terracing has been built and aged relative and I sat there. No seating was provided other than a few park benches at the northern end so chairs needed to be taken. Good weather with a pleasant breeze and being on grass meant no reflected heat so stayed comfortable. There was not a huge crowd but plenty of children enjoying themselves so a good family atmosphere.
The pitch was slightly two paced and batsmen seemed to have trouble timing the ball. Worcestershire deserved the win but were flattered by the margin. Many of their runs came off the edge and very few of their mishits went near a fielder. Northants top order were abysmal again.
