While White and Ali can hit a long ball realstically given the match situation at that point play out for the draw should have been the priority. The second new ball had just been taken and there was only 40 minutes of play left, I was a little disappointed by Ali's approach coming out and smacking the first ball he faced given he had batted out an hour in the first innings.
Still there were some positives to take from the game: Smith and Prince look in fine form, Horton showed in the second innings that he is seeing the ball well and Ali bowled some very good spells through the match. With Buttler, Chapple and Hogg to come back, as well as potentially Jarvis there does seem to be a decent side to take the field for the rest of the season. I am a little worried about the batting, and the lack of a replacement for Kat.

Yes I was expecting the same again from Ali, spending time at the crease and letting Prince get the runs. Impressed with Kerrigan as the nightwatchman.
I assume that it will be 3 fast bowlers (firstly Chapple,Hogg and Anderson and then Chapple, Hogg, Jarvis) plus all rounder Smith and Kerrigan as the bowling attack for the rest of the season.

You'd have Javis over Ali?
