Barbados routed the Leewards to win by an innings and 49 runs on the third day of their four-day match. Needing 233 to force the visitors to bat again, the Leewards were bundled out for 183 in their second innings by pacer Fidel Edwards (4-24) and offspinner Ashley Nurse (3-94). Devon Thomas topscored for the Leewards with 60.
The battle for the right to be hammered by the Bajans in the semi-finals is interestingly poised. Once again, veteran wicketkeeper Carlton Baugh topscored for Jamaica with 78, to help his team to reach 215 all out in their second innings. Legspinner Akeem Dewar took 4-74 for the CCC. Chasing 237 to win, the CCC were 155-5 going into today's final day. Wicketkeeper Chadwick Walton has topscored for the CCC so far, making 47, while pacer Jerome Taylor has already taken two wickets.
A total of 14 wickets fell on the penultimate day at Providence. Offspinner Amit Jaggernauth took 4-78 and medium pacer Rayad Emrit 3-39 to dismiss Guyana for 282, just 12 runs short of Trinidad's total, tailender Zaheer Mohamed giving the hosts hope with a battling 58. Legspinner Dev Bishoo then continued his outstanding match by taking 6-71, and he was supported by pacer Keon Joseph's 4-54, as they routed Trinidad in their second innings for just 212, Jason Mohammed topscoring with 33. Chasing 225 for victory, Guyana were 17-1 at stumps.
