When teams bowl 'bowlers' such as Gatting it's just a sign of desperation. It very occasionally works but that's usually when a batsman or pair have been in for hours & are pretty whacked & a part-timer just makes the batting team realise that they've seen off all the opposition can bowl at them & the bowlers are either too tired, have run out of inspiration or are just protecting their averages!

very disappointing day, I'd guess that Derby bowled when the pitch suited it and it has since flattened out, but not taking anything away from Moore who is on 96

He did well, other than being dropped on 14 in the slips on day 1, it also appears he got out caught on the boundary trying to press for a 4th batting point.

ah... dropped before he made a score, makes more sense
