Throwing in down in Totton at present and looks dark towards the east.

ironic that in 1974 we just needed a couple of hours dry in three days to win the title and now a couple of hours of rain might well seal promotion :dance :dance :dance

Yes my great-grandfather ( :) ) told me how close we were to winning the Championship 2 years running - with Andy Roberts replacing David (?) O'Sullivan as the overseas bowler but the weather stopped us & presumably no points for a draw? A bit like Abbott replacing Tahir? - well perhaps not!

Don't you mean Tahir replacing Abbott, and technically he replaced Maxwell.

Never let facts get in the way of what BMB calls educated humour or something similar!

Great to see Slug play one of those innings right down the order when we were in danger of being dismissed for under 250.

How on earth can a player whose obviously held in high affection acquire such an offensive nicname as "slug?"

67 officially, basically lost a whole session minus 10mins.

Probably get closer to 75 with Tredwell and Riley bowling the bulk.

Yeh I was counting in an extra 8 overs but that only applies for the 1st 3 days.

Find it strange that there front line spinner for the majority of the year, Riley, has only bowled 5 overs in the second innings so far...
