Smith has got his 7000 FC runs but is stuck on 11 needing 4 for his first ever 1000 FC runs in a season - which would make him the 3rd after Vince & Adams this season.

He'd been stuck on 11 for a few overs. Similar to a few players who've been out for 99 this season.

The Adams one could prove decisive in this match. Especially if we are 80-4 by stumps.

Bell Drummond and Northeast said yesterday that there was nothing in the pitch for Tahir.

Rileys current figures of 8-0-37-0 would agree with them.

Pace has stepped up a bit, we simply have to get at least four batting points and preferably five.

Leics showing little resistance, like they have against most teams to be honest. They're that bad they should be seriously considered for reelection!

Dawson out, the rate has slowed, we'll be lucky to get 4 points at this rate and may not avoid the follow on. Hopefully the rain will save us on day four!

Going to set up an exciting final round of matches.

Avoiding follow-on is priority at the moment, still got Slug,Wheater,Coles and Wood for the big shots later.

Essex now level with Hampshire on 207 not including any points Hampshire get from this debacle.
