David Hussey is dreadfully unlucky there. The Bushies have a really strong line-up at present, and with Aaron Finch still to come back in, somebody else will be facing the chop sooner rather than later. The emergence of peter Handscomb has presented the Vic selectors with problems I'm sure to Oz selectors wish they had. If anything, this goes to show that perhaps domestic cricket in Australia is ready for a seventh team. Bring on the ACT Comets!

The fourth round of the Sheffield Shield is done and dusted with NSW sitting at the top and Queensland being dead last! Strangely enough, Marcus North is the current leading run scorer, but don't expect to see him back in the Oz team ever. Cameron White is in second, bur outside the short forms, the selectors aren't looking there either (which I think is a bit crook given his better fc record than Bailey). Travis head is a 19 year old wicket-keeper playing for SA and doing rather well for himself at present, and Jordan Silk continues to impress. Nic Maddinson is averaging over 40 for the season thus far, as is Alex Doolan. Bowling wise, spinners are leading the way in terms of wickets taken, with Fawad Ahmed sitting tenth on the table behind Johan Botha, Cameron Boyce, Steve O'Keefe and Xavier Dohert, and just ahead of Nathan Lyon, Adam Zampa and Nathan Hauritz. Doug the Rug is the leading quick,

Haven't been able to find out just what he was supposed to have done - I do know that a rut or valley appeared on the pitch that "couldn't've come through natural batting or bowling actions", and that he unsuccessfully appealed his suspension - but did he do the Afridi Shuffle, or maybe invented a new pitch dance: the Matty Moonwalk?

I heard he did a Tasmanian tap-dance. ;)

The Bushies look to be lining up for a shellacking at the hands of South Australia. :no

He played on the weekend for Dandenong, in the VCA, although only played as a batsman.

Which leaves the Vics firmly on the bottom of the table - a place that most of their team would not be familiar with.

The Qbillies have just pulled off the second highest run chase in Sheffield Shield history (about 130-40 years). They reached the target that was about 475 with 5 wickets and a few overs in hand. As much as I like to see QLD lose, I must say well done them. Khawaja, Hopes and Hartley I think were the main players. Usman ended up about 185 not out.
