Middlesex call time on their limited-overs name 'Panthers' with immediate effect.
The county, who previously played one-day cricket under the controversial 'Crusaders' moniker, have decided to abandon nicknames altogether and will be known simply as Middlesex CCC across all three formats of the game.

I love Ian Smith on commentary, I always remember him commentating on a Eng-NZ ODI in Bristol and Will Porterfield took a catch as sub, his reaction was priceless. "The captain of Ireland has just taken a catch for England, what is going on"

Didn't it turn out that it wasn't Ian Smith's car in the end.

Never played first division cricket so probably wants to test himself at a higher level. Also the chance to work again with Matthew Maynard.
