The Times has the stats- he has played 439 T20 games and that puts him 8th in the list of most appearances, Alex Hales is the next English player on the list , 50 games behind Ravi who played his first game in the inaugural T20 season back in 2003.

Kent might be regretting pensioning him off given how their season is going.

I remember when Lancs chose to play their home QF at ours because of a test match at OT. The capt was there too. Lancs did okay against Essex, got themselves in a good position to defend their score and then Ravi came in for Essex and launched the ball to all parts, making everything look ridiculously easy.

First time I'd seen a fish finger sandwich butty van at the Riverside

A cold and damp night if I remember rightly!

not the best of starts for cricket's premier competition globally and the ECB's 'it'll make some one day' money spinner, as the British weather tells the ECB exactly what it thinks

Forecast for the month is for rain, rain and then a bit more rain.... all that money paid to the biggest stars in world cricket (well, those that didn't have something better to do at least) for sitting under a brolly, eating free snacks at the all you can snack buffet or playing BET 'I saw you coming' on their phones.

At least the weather gets to influence the ECB's decisions, even if people who watch cricket don't.

Seemingly Lords is valued at £3billion

that's a lot of money, should the ECB want to sell it to finance the building of a new 50,000 seater cricket stadium, complete with retractable roof, somewhere else in London to replace it

I wonder what the Oval is valued at?

I imagine the very thought will have crusty old men in funny caps and stripey ties dropping their Pimms in horror and gasping like a goldfish out of water

Sussex are going to be really ssiped off..... as might Worcs

after bowling Leics out for nothing first innings, they batted again and declared leaving Leics to chase down 499 or something in the 4th innings

currently 444-6 needing 55 to win

The ECB don't own Lords, the MCC do.

And as a private members club, that means if they did sell it and turned it into flats, absolutely zero of that money would come back to the public in order to finance a new stadium....

Leics couldn't get there..... 15 runs short. What a difference the tea interval made.
