Yorkshire are to announce two major overseas signings at 6am tomorrow morning.

Knowing Yorkshire's fanfare it will be the renewal signings of Kane Williamson and Aaron Finch. However if it is the return of David Miller and Mitchell Starc.....

Can't accuse Yorkshire for not taking Twenty20 seriously, the batting has some serious firepower (Gale, Finch, Lyth, Lees, Bairstow, Maxwell, Root, Ballance). Although the current internationals won't be available for Notts and Durham away in late May.

Still need to address the early season batting though. Root, Ballance and possibly one of Lyth/Lees will be in the Carribean whilst Gale is suspended against Worcestershire.

I saw something on Twitter suggesting Yorkshire are going to make a signing for the first part of the season, don't know if the club have confirmed that or whether the story was just speculation.

IIRC Moxon said an early seasons overseas signing will be made if the right player is available, easier said than done with the IPL and World Cup.

There was a possibility of retaining Kane Williamson for some part of the 2015 season, but he's due a rest after playing cricket virtually non stop since August 2013.

He'll be here with the Kiwis, but it'll be the Aussies who will be looking for early season contracts to prepare for the late summer Ashes.

Kane Williamson would be good early season cover for Aaron Finch, providing he's available. Worse case scenario is Yorkshire will be without an oversea player for the County Championship fixture against Somerset in late May.

Any Australians looking for early season cricket are likely to be those in the fringes, as most internationals will be on IPL duty. I wouldn't say no to Ed Cowan, but Aaron Finch is designated to play county cricket from June onwards and the Ashes doesn't start until July.

It probably means Sanga is going to continue playing test cricket so won't be at Surrey for the majority of the season. Odd not to continue with Wilson but the signing of Ben Foakes suggests Wilson won't be first choice keeper.

Peter Willey & George Sharp's employment tribunal case is underway, it's expected to last 4 days. So maybe we haven't seen the last of those two on the field.

ECB's argument is their reactions would be too slow at 65.
