Yorkshire have the Durham top five out. We all know Durham's lower order are hard to fire out, but 250 runs and four sessions should be enough. Nothing for Patterson and Rashid yet, surprisingly.

Quite a few teams just a little too far behind. If Yorks do win, second place is closely contested.

Middlesex are still in a chance of victory against Sussex, which potentially reduces the lead to 36pts and have a home fixture against Yorkshire on 9th-12th September. Enough time for a twist in the tale, as seen in the 2010 title race when Notts thought they had the title all but wrapped in late August with a contrived victory against Lancashire.
