Well, this is going badly. 24 for 4. Reece, Horton, Prince and Andrea all back in the hutch.

Must be abysmal batting conditions so a bad toss to lose.

No doubt, they've been off once already. Buttler gone now.

119 all out with Jimmy top scoring. Not much but a decent amount more than looked likely. Hopefully we'll be able to repeat the same trick on Northants.

Having listened to the commentary it appears to be the overhead conditions rather than the pitch.

Wobbles either side of the Horton and Prince partnership today. Buttler playing his first innings of merit for the red rose at present.

Cracking win which was far more comfortable than it looked like being. This could be a very important result come the end of the season should we be towards the bottom of the table, as Northants look certain to be there.

Hopefully we can kick on from this.

Lancs CCC on Twitter

Watkinson has not ruled out the possibility of adding another overseas player to the squad if the right type of player

It would have to be a batsman I think. Hope they don't leave it too long.

Brown comes in for Andrea, Jarvis gets a start. Clearly we're worried about our batting playing only three out and out bowlers today! Good start, with Chapple picking up Wells for 7. Sussex don't have Joyce but Wright and Nash are back.

Sussex flying along at 5 an over.

Could do with a wicket.
