A poor afternoon ( although there are similiwr scores in a lot of games. )
I'd say 250 would look reasonable after the start but not from where we were earlier in the afternoon. Not that I'm confident they'll make it that far! If ( when) Notts start their innings today it could be interesting.

Well.... Carse and Raine have done really well. With 3 early wickets in the final session, a score of 220 or 230 all out looked on. These two have put on 45 for the 8th wicket, batted through nearly 20 overs until close and blunted the second new ball, without any alarms and without any risk taking...... exactly what we needed

Yep. I agree - probably should have been a better day for us but could have been a lot worse after the terrible start.

seemingly, Bedders was out in the first extra over before lunch. Notts had bowled their allocated 32 overs, but managed to squeeze an extra over in before 1pm. He can consider himself very unlucky... if England had let Broad bowl at him the 33 overs would have seen him dismissed at about half past three

Yes,I don't think Badger or Bedingham did much wrong they just got good deliveries. Always feel there's a run out on the cards when Lees is batting and,as ever, Burnham looks in control,plays some lovely shots but doesn't go on to make it big.
When Bancroft arrives I'd give Jones a run at 6 and Carse and Raine proving they can be useful late order batsman if they keep their sensible heads on. Having to play Poytner shows how thin,or rather none existant, is our reserve batting.
