A good day for Yorkshire overall - Karl Carver going through the tail to restrict MCCs 1st innings lead of 25 runs and Yorkshire posting 239/7 at stumps.

Be good if Yorkshire can bat for another hour or so and give MCC a challenging total of around 275.

Not reading too much into the result (other than a good workout) considering Yorkshire were at half strength (four players on England duty, Bairstow and Sidebottom rested), a spinner light for the conditions and Bresnan getting injued in the 2nd innings.

I expect Yorkshire to be virtually at full strength for the season opener against Hampshire, maybe even a rare appearance from Joe Root.
