I wouldn't even bowl Pottsy again today either. Why break him? spin at each end for the rest of the innings with the odd over of dibbly dobbly from Rhodes and Neesham whenever Old George and Ackers need a break

and nobody who might benefit from it in the winter is playing with it, because they're all playing India (or not playing India) with a Dukes ball whilst CC endures this

part of me thinks that this is great for Aussie overseas players, because there seems to be a load of them playing around the counties atm.... maybe with this in mind. We, of course, signed our Aussie for early season when we weren't using the K ball

I hope Surrey bat all day. I'm pretty sure they'd be happy to draw a match like this, whilst giving their batters all the practice in the world and without breaking any of their bowlers

Kookaburra ball experiment needs to be ditched but this has gone so catastrophically wrong it's almost funny! Not For the players obviously but I can't help wondering what disasters are around the corner.
I was expecting Surrey to rack up 500 after we put them in....and I suppose they did - before adding another 300 for good measure.

That said, there can be no excuses for not having 2 good days with the bat ro get out of this with a draw.

I'm not sure it was overly sensible for burns to bat as long as he did .......pitch is so flat his bowlers have a long two days in the field now with a draw most likely....if you pull out at 500 there's still enough time for oppo to think they can get a lead therefore creates chances....now Durham have to just flat bat for two days on a road.....not great from Surrey I don't think

Drissell is on now but he was ahead of Raine on the BBC card. Can't think why so my suspicion is Raine's injury is the reason old Geirge is in.

when we only have to survive it for 20 overs, this just won't do

of course, we went into this game with 2 experienced seamers (one of whom pulled up after 10 overs), a 20 year old, a T20 bowler and a part time medium pacer. Surrey went in with a highly experienced, pretty fearsome looking 4 prong pace attack plus Curran as the all rounder, so it probably isn't surprising that our bowlers went to all parts, whilst theirs are taking wickets in clusters with an 820 run cushion behind them
