Yep. It's not like the number 11 smashed us around the park. He only scored 17, that is it.
Wallace was at the other end; an actual batsman. It doesn't matter if we had them one down or nine down, a batsman is still entitled to score runs.
And yes, our subsequent batting display adds to the theory that the pitch started to flatten out. Adams might not have taken advantage of it, but Wallace, Carberry and Dawson all did.
We're in total control of this game now, just one day in. Weather permitting, I'd like it to stay that way. Ideally with us picking up maximum batting points and only needing to bat once.
